Ludacris Joins Microsoft to Change Lives with TechTunes
March 26, 2025
| March 26, 2025
For twenty-four years, the Ludacris Foundation has been a staunch pioneer in community, education, and expansion efforts for young people in Atlanta and worldwide. The launch of TechTunes serves as a trailblazing initiative that is the pinnacle of twenty-five years of music and constant technological changes. The purpose of TechTunes is to decrease the gap between experience and access for young creatives. Utopian Academy of the Arts High School in Morrow, Georgia, was chosen as the pilot for the program that partnered with Microsoft and music students at the school. The program utilizes Microsoft’s Copilot AI software and devices and was instructed by the Chief of Production for Ludacris and the Chief of Arts and Music for The Ludacris Foundation, Gerald Keys.
Gerald Keys shared that he is extremely ecstatic about what is to come and emphasized that The Ludacris Foundation is giving students justification to follow their dreams. TechTunes enables students to learn as they grow, but it is a pipeline to much more. The Ludacris Foundation will continue to find ways to impart change, high-level engagement, and advancement in the lives of young people. Prior to college or any additional education, they are shown many of the current industry trends and get the chance to fully become engulfed in what is needed to succeed as a professional. Creativity and experience can very well benefit them as much or even more than a degree. TechTunes is not merely a workshop or class but a game-changer for their future endeavors.
Students got hands-on lessons and the chance to ask questions as they explored Copilot. The sessions included lessons on discovering what AI in music is with platform examples, a step-by-step guide on techniques for prompts, creating a short piece, and student presentations. Students also provided the video game for soundtrack creation. Their feedback was welcomed and they were informed of other learning opportunities and events to continue their growth, expansion, and network. The Ludacris Foundation will work to guarantee these students excel in the classroom and their future careers with the present tools they now have.
